Our Philosophy
So There’s That (STT) is an independent entertainment publication that examines television and film through story, character, performance, and narrative intent.
We don’t tell you what to think and we don’t assign ratings.
Instead, STT goes beyond what happens on screen to explore why it matters.
We provide episode analysis and character studies, explore theories, share interviews and reviews, and add to the larger conversations that shape the film and television industry.
Whether you’re trying to make sense of a finale, interrogate a character’s choices, or just remain with the story just a little while longer, So There’s That is the place to explore your favorite stories without all of the noise.
About Kivonshe
Kivonshe Williams is a film and television critic, journalist, filmmaker, actor, and the founder of So There’s That.
With a lifelong passion for storytelling, Kivonshe writes from a place of endless curiosity, a bit of humor, and a keen eye for the intricate details that reveal something bigger than what the series or film shows the audience.
Her approach to criticism is simple: the audience doesn’t need to be told what to think.
Instead, Kivonshe’s work focuses on pulling the audience deeper into the story—its themes, characters, contradictions, and narrative choices—giving readers additional context to come to a conclusion about a show, movie, or character for themselves.
Sometimes that produces an article based on the question everyone is asking. Sometimes it produces an article based on the thing no one has even noticed.
Either way, she leaves the decision up to you.
So There’s That…
