‘All’s Fair’ on Hulu Trailer
“Here, there is no safe word. You can’t tell us to stop.” Hulu dropped the trailer for its newest, sexiest, series All’s Fair, starring Kim Kardashian (Allura), Niecy Nash-Betts (Emerald), Glenn Close (Dina), Sarah Paulson (Carrington), Naomi Watts (Liberty), and Teyana Taylor (Milan). In the trailer, you get a clear sense that this show will be steamy, raunchy, and cutthroat with the pointiest stiletto heel pressed against the carotid.
Created by Ryan Murphy, All’s Fair is a new legal drama about a team of all-star female divorce attorneys who leave a male-dominated firm to start their own practice. There, they take on high-profile cases with the highest stakes and deepest of secrets. However, making it to the top does not come without a wrinkle in a power-shouldered suit as, there seems to be a clear and viciously ambitious rival along the way.
Bold Moves and Power Suits
Kim Kardashian, known for multiple successful businesses and the hit reality series The Kardashians, makes a bold move into scripted drama. While she has a few small roles credited to her name, in All’s Fair she plays one of the attorneys who is central to the story, making this her first major role in television. In the trailer, Allura finds herself as a client in her own business, as clips of a nasty divorce is on the horizon and her rival—soon to be ex-husband’s lawyer—is played by none other than Sarah Paulson. Carrington is mockingly sharp, weaponizing her intellect and lethal tongue to win at all costs. However, the team has a few tricks up their own sleeves, as seen through schemes of passion, using every weapon in their arsenal to take opposing clients for all they’re worth.
All’s Fair will focus on this group of talented, and extremely complex, lawyers by delivering something “fierce, brilliant, and emotionally complicated” (The Hollywood Reporter)—wrapped in a strong message about sisterhood, women supporting other women, and navigating the turbulent waters of being a woman of power in a male dominated profession. All’s Fair will premiere with three episodes on Tuesday, November 4, and then weekly thereafter, exclusively on Hulu and Disney+.
