‘Cross’ Season 2 Date Announcement
New villain. New case. Same Cross
October 9, 2025 at New York Comic Con, the creators of Cross announced its Season 2 premiere date. Set your reminders and notifications for February 11, 2026 and be ready to see Aldis Hodge as Alex Cross do what he does best. Cross is based on the James Patterson’s Alex Cross novels but the show adaptation focuses more on original mystery and cases rather than adapting a specific book and storyline. In such case, the series gets more breathing room to explore storylines that feel newer and fresher while maintaining the essence of Alex Cross—combining conventional and unconventional methods as a detective and forensic psychologist to catch serial killers.
New Face. New Case
Matthew Lillard joins Cross as this season’s antagonist, Lance—a self-proclaimed “good billionaire” who has global dreams of worldwide food sustainability and vigilante hunting and killing corrupt billionaires, targeting them for their past crimes. In Cross’s pursuit, a mysterious organization claims to have information about his past that both complicates and threatens the outcome of this case. Season 2 shifts in focus from Season 1 through the antagonist with themes that explore the blurred lines between justice and vigilantism, mistakes and atonement, forgiveness and revenge. This season also takes a closer look into Sampson’s backstory, played by Isaiah Mustafa, as the thread of continuity connecting both seasons are the characters, while keeping the action and suspense focused on the cases. The combination of suspense and character driven narratives is what makes Cross on Prime the series to watch.
Mark your calendars for Wednesday, February 11, 2026 for the first 3-episodes. The remaining episodes will air weekly until the season finale on March 18, 2026.
