Prime Video’s Psychological Thriller ‘Malice’ is Here
Be careful who you invite into your home
Jack Whitehall, David Duchovny, and Carice van Houten star in Prime Video’s latest psychological revenge thriller, Malice. Adam (Whitehall) is a charming nanny who uses his personality and intelligence to infiltrate a wealthy family—Jamie (Duchovny) and Nat (Houten) Tanner—driven by a mysterious grudge in order to destroy them from the inside out.
Revenge is Best Served in Greece
Malice takes you on a whirlwind across 6 episodes as Adam goes from temporary tutor for the daughter of a family friend to full-time nanny for the Tanners during their vacation in Greece. Carefully, he orchestrates his way into their tight knit group of family and friends. This new position in the family allows him to obtain the information necessary to undo decades of trust one thread at a time. As Adam’s obsession grows, so do suspicions about his behavior and incessant need to know more about Jamie. When the stakes become high and Adam’s reason for inflicting pain to the family are revealed, Jamie is on a life or death mission to save himself and his family from a psychopath.
Jack Whitehall gives a chilling performance as Adam—a man hellbent on leaving nothing but pain and destruction in his wake—and at the core of his character is vengeance. Adam seeks absolution and retribution against the Tanners for an unknown reason with a well-laid plan of infiltration, disruption, and chaos. Through his schemes, he manipulates everyone around him—turning family and friends against one another as a smokescreen to hide his true nature. Like every antagonist, there is always a reason and Jamie is on countdown to figure out the reason as to why his family is targeted. As for the audience, this is a nail-biting ride as we try to determine to what lengths Adam will go to exact his revenge.
Everything that Glitters
Malice creeps into your veins as it establishes that the enemy is not always a stranger, but the very smiling face you willingly let into your home. This creates a sense of unease and mistrust when the family cannot decipher nor determine the source of their paranoia. But inside all of the chaos lies dark secrets long buried that can have devastating consequences for the perfect appearing family—a threat to their wealth and to their lives.
Malice premieres on Amazon Prime Video Friday, November 14. All 6 episodes will release at once for the perfect revenge binge weekend. Check out the trailer below.
