Netflix Found the Tree in the Road
The most-watched series in MGM+ history, FROM, is heading to Netflix ahead of the highly anticipated fifth and final season.
On Tuesday, October 13, What’s On Netflix reported that the first three seasons of FROM are expected to arrive on Netflix in the U.S. Monday, October 19, under a limited-time licensing window.
Netflix subsequently confirmed the announcement via social media.
UPDATE:
What does this mean for a series that already built a devoted audience on MGM+?
While FROM has already become MGM+’s most-watched series, Netflix’s established reach gives FROM another avenue to find viewers beyond MGM+’s existing subscriber base.
FROM premiered on Epix, now MGM+, in 2022. Created by John Griffin and executive produced by Jack Bender and Jeff Pinkner, FROM is about travelers who come across a fallen tree in the road and get trapped inside a mysterious and deadly town.
Over the course of four seasons, the series centers on Boyd, played by Harold Perrineau, Tabitha, played by Catalina Sandino Moreno, and Jade, played by David Alpay, as they work tirelessly to try to save the group from the monsters—and from themselves.
And in Season 4, the group discovered that the more answers they uncovered, the more the town would fight back to ensure they never lived to tell the tale.
Why the Timing Matters
With Season 5 slated to premiere in 2027, a licensing window before the premiere gives unfamiliar viewers the opportunity to discover the series, become invested in the mystery alongside established FROMily sleuthers, and potentially lead those new viewers back to MGM+ to finish out the final season.
While this is not a guarantee of higher ratings or even another 100% Rotten Tomatoes score (Season 3), it’s an opportunity for both Netflix and MGM+ to win.
With three seasons arriving, newcomers could have 30 episodes available to watch at their own pace. This may prove perfect for the Netflix subscribers who enjoy binge-watching over weekly releases.
For a mythology-heavy series, this could be extremely valuable for FROM—new viewers can follow the clues and character relationships, investing in its mysteries before the story reaches its conclusion.

So There’s That has followed the series since Season 1 and established a curated podcast playlist for new and old fans alike to explore prior seasons, questions, fan theories, and cast interviews.
And for those looking to see how Season 4 connects to the earlier seasons’ clues, a FROM Theories and Analysis hub exists here, just for you (although I warn you, there are major spoilers).
Whatever your preferred method in joining the FROMily, So There’s That has you covered.
With multiple seasons of clues, major character revelations, and unanswered questions behind it, FROM approaches a conclusion that longtime fans have spent years trying to unravel.
And if Netflix viewers become as invested in the town’s mysteries as the established audience, the biggest impact of this licensing deal may not be how many people join the FROMily—but how many follow the story to its conclusion.
